Start with one lighting circuit. Decide whether to replace the wall switch or keep it with a module behind it. Choose the channels, load type and wiring before the app or finish.
Check these before choosing
- Check neutral wiring and wall-box depth; model requirements vary.
- Match the actual lighting load and startup current to the selected variant; dimming needs compatible lamps.
- Check manual operation without internet and the power-restoration behaviour.
- Zigbee variants need a compatible gateway; WiFi variants need coverage and the frequency specified by the manufacturer.
Limits and total cost
A smart switch replaces the wall interface; a mini module may retain it when wiring and space permit. On/off control does not imply dimming support.
